Welcome to the Perpustakaan Laman Hikmah (PLH) portal at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). This portal is developed to provide information related to the facilities, services, operations of PLH, and other relevant basic information.
PLH remains committed to realizing UTeM's aspirations to support scholarship and the tradition of knowledge by preserving and enriching various collections that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. UTeM, as the first public technical university in Malaysia and the 14th public university established, empowers the fields of engineering, information and communication technology, technology management, and engineering technology.
User needs are a priority for PLH through the delivery of excellent services. With the expertise of professional librarians, continuous process improvements are implemented by considering user feedback to support teaching and learning activities. Sustainable collection development is highly emphasized alongside providing comfortable and practical facilities for users.
Therefore, PLH continuously enhances the quality of services to customers by providing up-to-date information that meets the learning, teaching, and research needs of UTeM to remain competitive in an increasingly globalized world.
PLH plays a proactive role as a platform that implements various focused initiatives and connects academic institutions with society. PLH is at the forefront of improving the best and most internationally focused services and facilities, in addition to supporting UTeM's excellent educational ecosystem. To produce holistic TVET graduates and scholars, PLH provides widely recognized and acknowledged digital reference sources.
To fulfil the goal of educating society and integrating the university with the community, PLH also plans various events and intellectual discussions for students, faculty, staff, and community members. Additionally, PLH is now engaged in transforming digital reference sources to support the national agenda for digital empowerment. To develop TVET graduates and future national leaders who are critical thinkers, knowledgeable, and of good character, all students are encouraged to make full use of the library's resources and references.
It is hoped that this library portal will assist library users in obtaining information and expertise more effectively.
